Video remote interpreting

An interpreter in your office, on your time, anywhere.

When travel time doesn't fit the meeting — when the appointment is in 20 minutes, when your team is across three time zones, when the patient just walked in — VRI puts a certified interpreter on Zoom, Teams, or a tablet at your location. Same quality. No commute.

VRI is not a call center. It is the same interpreter you would have booked on site — just on a screen.

We do not route through a third-party stack. Your interpreter is one of ours, scheduled by hand, prepped on the materials you sent, and dialed into the platform you already use.

How it works

From request to interpreter on screen, in four steps.

01

Submit a request.

Tell us the platform, the time, the setting, and any prep materials. The form takes about 90 seconds.

02

We confirm.

We confirm an interpreter within one business day. For same-day requests, call us directly.

03

Calendar invite arrives.

You forward the existing Zoom or Teams link to us, or we send a fresh meeting room — whichever fits your security policy.

04

Interpreter joins, prepped.

Your interpreter joins five minutes early, with the deck and the agenda already read.

Platforms

We work on whatever you already use.

Zoom
Most common

Spotlight, sign-language interpretation channel, breakouts. We can run the interpreter spotlight ourselves if you'd prefer.

Microsoft Teams
Enterprise standard

Pin-to-screen, large gallery, live transcription. We also test through Teams Rooms for boardroom setups.

Google Meet
Education & SMB

Pinning and main-stage layouts. Native captioning. Works well for K-12 IEP meetings.

Webex
Healthcare & gov

HIPAA-eligible deployments supported. Sign-language video panel, virtual desktop infrastructure tested.

Doxy.me & clinical
Telehealth

Doxy, Epic Telehealth, athenaTelehealth, and most patient-portal video tools. We can connect through your EHR.

In-room tablet
On-demand

Place a tablet on a stand in your exam room or front desk. We pick up live, no app to download.

Common questions

FAQ.

How fast can I get a VRI interpreter?

Same-day, most days. The earlier in the day you ask, the more likely we have a match. For an upcoming week, 24 hours is plenty.

Is VRI HIPAA-compliant?

Yes — we run on HIPAA-eligible deployments of Zoom and Webex, and we sign Business Associate Agreements with healthcare clients. We can also work inside your existing telehealth stack.

What if the connection drops mid-appointment?

The interpreter will dial back in within 60 seconds. We also keep a phone-based backup CART line ready for clients who need it. For high-stakes settings (surgery, court), we recommend on-site.

Do I need to download anything?

No. VRI runs in your browser. If you would prefer a dedicated app or hardware tablet stand, we can ship one to you.

How is this different from a national VRI service?

National VRI is a call-center model: you dial in, you get whoever is on the queue. We are a small certified roster. The interpreter you see has been booked for this meeting specifically, with prep materials in hand.

What does it cost?

VRI is billed in 30-minute increments with a 1-hour minimum. We can quote a flat monthly retainer for organizations with recurring needs. Email info@rosesli.com for the rate sheet.
